Evil, continued. ..

In keeping with the theme of the last entry, I wanted to take it a step further. When I say evil is boring and sad, it is not to negate the experience of those who’ve had a direct encounter with it- myself included.

My point is that the power of the human spirit is far greater than any harm the darkness can inflict.

Every pure and innocent being that chooses (on a soul level) to incarnate here has a purpose and an innate right to exist.

Whatever takes place after they’re born is separate and does not change this universal truth.

Evil (and the people that allow it to work through them) can have it’s plans all day long, but that doesn’t negate individuals’ God-given right to live their lives as they see fit.

In that way, the darkness is irrelevant. Once again, not to discount the damage it can leave in it’s wake. Healing from these encounters is not for the faint of heart, but that’s addressed in past entries and most likely in future ones.

Jim (pastor in Clyde, NC) says those that have been touched by darkness know it when they see it, but they also have a very acute sense of the light (paraphrase).

Jim helps people heal from unimaginable things. Let’s just say he knows a thing or two about evil; but also about the resiliency of survivors and the light that couldn’t be put out.

Speaking of light, if we want to take immediate action to increase it in ourselves and the collective we must reclaim our Sovereignty.

My definition of Sovereignty is self-ownership, or self-governing. It’s the idea that we answer to ourselves and to God alone, as opposed to man’s self-proclaimed authoritarian institutions.

When I say “ourselves and to God,” I’m leaving a lot of room for individual interpretations. While I personally believe in God, I do not buy into a codependent relationship with a diety that absolves me of my responsibility to use the brain and heart I was given to make decisions about my life or health.

In fact my belief in a higher power is actually a call to a greater level of self-responsibility than many are willing to accept…anyways, I digress.

Sovereignty is our birthright.

It is not something that is granted to us by other humans, and therefore cannot be revoked by them. We do not earn it, nor do we have to work to keep it. It is as natural as our breath.

So, how do we reclaim our Sovereignty?

• Get really clear on who we are and what we participate in.

• Fully occupy our bodies (somatic practices and bodywork can assist with this).

• Heal addictions, as they leave us vulnerable to attachments and keep us in a slave state.

• Extricate ourselves from parasitic relationships. These are an energy drain and the “return on investment” is in the negatives. They deplete us and effect our ability to do our purpose work.

• Get rid of actual parasites- because they’re gross.

Refer to the 2 entries I wrote on parasites in June (learning how to insert a hyperlink is on the list, but I’m not there yet. I just now figured out how to heat the RV 🤷‍♀️).

In part 3 of this “series” (? lol) I’ll focus on our souls and the inner resources we’ve been given to ensure they stay intact and sufficiently glowy.
