How far

Thinking about relationships this evening. ..to me the craziest part of them is that we can’t ever know how far the other person traveled to meet us there-

Or how many times they rose to the occasion and showed up for us, even when it was really hard or inconvenient.

. ..all the times they were at their edge, then went a few steps further. ..how holding space for us may have stretched them to dimensions beyond what was previously accessible.

Whether or not our time together widened their bandwidth, or expanded their capacity for love- especially self love.

There’s just so much we can’t know; and eventhough it’s tempting to create a story around events in an attempt to make sense of it all, it really only gets us so far.

A better approach may be befriending the space: honoring what comes up, and resisting the urge to rush ahead to the next thing ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚
