We get to choose

The awareness that it’s a decision is what makes it a decision.

Read that again 🤯

. ..but forreal though; things are showing up as 50/50 on ALL fronts for me this week.

I am acutely reminded that I choose what I see, and how I interpret events, people’s behavior, information, etc.

This is how we create (or co-create) our reality.

My former therapist once said: “In the absence of information, we fill in the blanks with our own material.”

. ..or something like that 😄

Basically we are capable of making alot of sh** up to confirm our beliefs- whether or not those beliefs are actually serving us.

We project our “stuff” onto the external, then draw conclusions about it that further confirm how we feel. ..talk about the Bermuda Triangle of hell!

Our 🧠 are so desperate to have a definitive answer that they’ll cling onto any piece of information and create a story around it. Black and white scenarios make them feel safe.

The mind can actually be satisfied with an answer, even if it’s the wrong one!

With that in mind, my current work is:

• Increasing my capacity to stay present
  with the “not knowing.”

• Making sure any conclusions I do draw
are in alignment with my personal
belief that “everything is for us”

• Remembering I have a choice, and that
I alone am responsible for my
  experience.
