ARE YOU LOSING IT??
. ..or finding it π
There’s an intensity to these times even on seemingly uneventful days. I don’t know if it’s the stress of inflation, 9 eclipses and 6 retrograde every 3 weeks, or the AWAKENING I’ve mentioned in other posts ππβ¨οΈ
Regardless, several people have recently shared they feel lost, disoriented, ungrounded, and/or have had trouble accessing information that would normally come easily to them.
Someone a few weeks ago said it took them several minutes to realize they’d actually walked into a pharmacy instead of the grocery store next to it ππ€¦ββοΈ
What I’m noticing the most when listening to people describe their experiences is not what happened, but the FEAR they have around it.
Where does that come from?
As a society we’ve been conditioned to fear our own selves- particularly our emotions. The idea that we would “lose our minds” has historically been portrayed as the ultimate worst of the worst since before any of us were born.
We’re discouraged from learning how to skillfully traverse our internal landscapes, and taught that we need to “go see someone” if we’re feeling off- and maybe you do. But if that’s not a viable option for whatever reason, you may want to have some tools.
Most intense emotions, panic attacks, etc are transient states. I tend to think of them coming in waves that will pass, or another layer of energy surfacing to be cleared. ..aka they’re on their way OUT.
There are exceptions to everything I write, but I’m not here to speak to the counter point.
Usually as long as you have the awareness that you’re “not okay,” then you have enough to work with.
In my experience with panic attacks over the years (first one being in 2011), there are intense body sensations AND the story we create around those, aka the brain’s attempt to make sense of it.
For me it would go something like this: “I’m freaking out, I’m freaking out, I’m freaking out. ..”
But if I listened really hard I could hear a very quiet voice ask: “are you?”
THAT.
That voice was my higher self. My deep knowing that even though I wasn’t “okay” in that moment, I would be.
If you can locate that voice, you’re golden.
There may be 99% of you that isn’t sure you’ll make it, and only 1% that KNOWS you already did.
Your job is to connect to that 1% and talk to it until it’s the 99%.
Honor what comes up, but know who’s in charge. Remember all you need is 1%.
You’ve got this π
