Holiday check-in

That moment when “non-traditional” holidays become. ..the tradition 😄

This is year 3 of spending Christmas alone and enjoying whatever natural wonders happen to be near me.

• 2020 Lake Tomahawk in Black Mountain, NC
• 2021 Mount Pisgah waterfalls in Brevard, NC
• 2022 Emerald Coast beaches near Destin, FL

I dont have anything against the holidays, but I do find them overstimulating. So, in lieu of attending large gatherings, I make time to connect with my favorite people individually; and if I’m going to travel, I do it either the week before Christmas or a week or two after.

I’m so grateful for the time to reflect on the past year and get clarity on what I’m calling in for the next one. In place of New Years resolutions, Im considering doing a vision board with some on my intentions for 2023.

Thoughts become things, and what we focus on, we get more of. It’s become too energetically expensive to entertain what I do not want.

Just like a race car driver that is trained to look away from the retaining wall, we can all steer ourselves in the direction we want to go by keeping our desired reality in the forefront of our hearts and minds, and taking steps toward that whenever we can.

Hold the vision, trust the process 🙏✨️
