How we keep ourselves from what we want:
We place it outside of ourselves, “over there” -just out of reach.
We buy into the lie that it’s only available to other people or focus on the reasons we’re unworthy, inadequate, incapable of having, doing, or being the thing.
In cases of jealousy, we may actually judge the thing we want, saying people that have it are x, y, z.
The easiest example of this is with money. If we think “rich people” are selfish, greedy, unrighteousness, etc, then you can rest assured we will not be one!!
Once we attach judgment to something, we’ve solidified the separateness and put ourselves into a double bind.
Ironically we attempt to do this with things we actually don’t want, then end up attracting them right to us because to fight something or be in resistance to it keeps us entangled and in an energetically charged relationship to/with it.
Examples of this are: illness, financial struggle, and abandonment.
Why does this happen? The universe says “Wow I see you’re in a lot of fear over this thing- that must be really hard. I’ll let you have an experience of that thing so you can heal the fear and have more peace.” 🙄🙃
Practical applications of this post:
- As much as you can, try to BE in the energy of what you want.
- Heal your wounds so you’re not pulled into extreme emotional states.
- Cultivate more curiosity (heals judgment).
- Deprogram and decondition, so you’re able so you’re able to view life without the filters and distortions.
- Learn to access your own innate goodness and innocence, which will allow you to see it in others.
- Say “thank you” to life for showing you what you don’t want and what you do want, so you can adjust course as needed.
- Know that everything is working out perfectly in accordance with your highest good.
