“Symptoms”

I’ve come to view the body as a vessel, with energies constantly moving in and out.

“Symptoms” are transient and act as messengers, then usually leave once the intent has been met.

Anytime a new thing pops up, I explore the question “What is being asked of me here?”

Note: It’s less of a cerebral endeavor, and more of a tuning into our deep inner knowing.

Usually, I’m being asked to SEE something, then let it go. The body just wants to be seen and validated by its owner.

My current practice it to say, “Thank you so much for calling my attention to this; I’ll take it from here.”

Around 2 am this morning, my body went into Myofascial unwindings (see entry titled “Spontaneous Unwindings” for more on what this looks like).

I’ve been dealing with a nose situation that I can share about later, but with that as the back story, these were my thoughts:

“What if nothing is ‘wrong?’ ‘What if my body is brilliant and knows exactly what it’s doing?’

I asked why it was creating this nose “problem,” and got:

“It’s to distract you from __________ .” 🙄

Well, it’s resulted in me not being able to breathe properly, so mission accomplished 🤦‍♀️

After that, I gave it permission to no longer hold onto its current way of being, with the hope that it would feel relieved.

We will see 🙏✨️

I’m still working with this little nose, but I’m trying to do so through the lens of “Everything is for us,” because that’s what I truly believe.

I’ve come to view symptoms as:

• Trauma release

• Consciousness upgrade (we will often try
  things we wouldn’t otherwise, simply
because we’re desperate, lol. This can lead
  to a paradigm shift)

•  An energetic clearing that’s
passing through and taking with it what
  we don’t need any more

• An old “friend” that shows up to deliver a
message then will be on his way once you
just hear him out for a min (at much as
we’d like to leave him out in the cold)

I’m not suggesting we ignore symptoms or not seek outside assistance when we feel called to do so. I’m merely presenting a way of seeing and relating to my own body that I’ve found to be beneficial.

More to come on how we may be unintentionally solidifying symptoms by “colluding with the medical system” (Kelly Brogan) to wage war on our bodies; which is really just another iteration of the rescuer/victim/perpetrator cycle by viewing our body as the enemy and us as the victim, as opposed to realizing it’s working overtime to guide and protect us, and that it actually is us 🙃
