I was catching up with a friend last night over the phone, & they asked, “What was the highlight of your trip to Austin?”
Of course, there were a million, as I was there for a month, but in that moment, all I could think to say was, “Galveston.” π
If you’re not familiar with TX geography, they’re separate cities- as in completely different places.
After spending a month in Austin (Nov/Dec) of 2023, I decided on a whim to stop in Galveston “on the way” back to FL. ..for those of you who DO know TX geography, you know it’s not exactly on the way π«
I didn’t care. Some part of me had always wanted to visit for some mystery reason, & now was the time.
It was magical in its own little way, & in retrospect, I feel I received some kind of upgrade during my time on that land. I can’t explain it, & I don’t have a huge need to, but I’ve said before that we’re rewarded when we answer the call.

Okay, so fast forward. ..I got back to FL the week before Christmas & spent the holidays recovering from the trip & playing catch up. Then, during the first week of January, I randomly decided to take on 4 projects- with one of them being write a book π³π€·ββοΈ
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago: following a series of events, it became very clear the book needed to be my main priority, & to let the other things fall by the wayside (this was around the time I posted on “burning the ships”).
Fast forward to 2 days ago: I finished my rough draft! It is currently 8,899 words that somehow came through me & out of me in approx. 3 weeks π«
I’m not really a numerology person, but I will occasionally look up the meaning of numbers out of curiosity π€
This one did not disappoint: “The meaning of 8899 is that it symbolizes the power of a higher purpose. It encourages you to use your life for a greater mission & to pursue spiritual growth.” π¦β¨οΈ
There’s more to it that I may share in a separate post, but let’s just say this past month has been so fascinating and a little exhausting in the best possible way.
Thank you to everyone who has listened to my ideas and held space for my process as I navigate this uncharted territory π
Stay tuned for more about the book π
