Check-in and thoughts on the writing process

Okay, so apparently, my FL life consists mostly of photographing flowers on the way to buy coffee or food, lol. ..notice I said photographing them, not actually contributing to them staying alive in any way, ever πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

These were outside of Whole Foods last weekend and I couldn’t resist capturing them before going in 🌷

I’m back to work on the book today, and I was just thinking how I always have exactly what I need. God, my higher self, or a combination of both, planned it perfectly πŸ†

Example: There’s a farmers market in Destin that’s right on the harbor, and it goes until 3pm. I am deriving a great deal of joy from knowing that at any time I could go experience it, but that I could also stay here and finish this book!

I think for me, at least right now, knowing I COULD do something goes almost as far as actually doing it 🫠

This wasn’t the case in the past, and I suspect it won’t be in the future. Following the completion of this book, I plan to set “cerebral mode” aside for a while and fully embody the human experience once again πŸ™Œ

I was way too social in Nashville and Asheville to take on a project like this. While I’ve met some cool people in the panhandle, making friends hasn’t really been the priority πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Also, I’m realizing each day just how different writing a book is than doing the blog. For one, I’m not used to hanging out with a topic for so long!

Secondly, I write the blog according to what comes through on that specific day, and I write from my baseline energetic frequency, or higher. This means it’s more natural and seems to just flow through me effortlessly.

The book, on the other hand, is written with a specific audience in mind, so I’m constantly checking in to make sure it’s understandable and relatable. I’m also using examples from my personal experience, which requires me to “remote view” a parallel time, lol. ..aka access some memories πŸ™ƒ

Last but not least, the subject matter I have chosen (or that chose me) is a little dense!

I’m willing to turn and look at it, but I’m also determined to present it to the collective in an empowering way, as opposed to perpetuating more fear or negativity. This means that I’m alchemizing & transmuting it through my physical body, 🧠, and πŸ«€.

I’m pretty sure I do this regardless, but I’m really paying attention to it these days. While I’m not trying to play the victim of my calling, it takes a toll!

I’m realizing I’m playing more of the long game with this book, as opposed to just spitting it out in two weeks like I thought! While the primary structure and foundation did reveal themselves pretty quickly, going back and adding in the details, examples, and layering has felt a little choppy. However, I’m dedicated to doing the topic justice, so it just is what it is for now!

This is just a reminder to myself and to anyone else who is “birthing” a project into the world: It’s important to prioritize sleep, get regular movement, and be around others when possible. ..I also need to drink more water, lol.

All of these are very challenging for me personally, as it just feels like an effort on the front end, but I’m always glad I did whatever it was afterward.

To all the artists, writers, creatives, mystics, nerdy cerebral people: I see you!

Thank you for your contribution πŸ™

Even in the absence of outside acknowledgment, people approval, or dopamine hits from social media. ..

It matters πŸͺ·βœ¨οΈ
