2025 thoughts

That moment when you want to capture your surroundings because you’re at a cool place, but you don’t want to be (too) weird and photograph strangers—or at least not close enough for them to see you lol—so you just take a picture of the wall instead 😅

I visited this bookstore for the first time years ago. I think it was February of 2016, but I’m not sure. ..anyways, I didn’t know the name of it, but I wanted to find it again.

Well, on New Years Eve, I retraced my steps and did just that 😍

Speaking of New Years, I’ve had several interesting conversations with friends this week on what they’re seeing and feeling for 2025, and I’ve noticed a few themes:

● Healing as a priority-
Physical & emotional healing are no longer optional.

Our bodies and minds are communicating to us louder than ever before. Denial isn’t working. Time is up!

● Desire for community-
Wanting to connect on a deeper (or higher) than politics, current events, etc. ..eagerness to find like-minded people to live in community with.

Seeking commonalities in the areas of: food quality & sourcing, holistic health & natural remedies, connectivity to the land, minimal technology/EMF.

● Apprehension regarding rapid technological advances, including human/AI interface-

This is especially concerning for young people. I’ve personally noticed an overlap between men who are heavily reliant on tech/AI & (suspected) sex/pornography addiction.

I’m just naming the pattern. I’m aware that correlation does not equal causation.

My concern isn’t stemming from a puritanical or even moral/virtue place, but rather from the place of someone who has seen addiction up close, & who knows how the brain is wired & how addiction to anything puts us into a trace state & detracts from our ability to be present for our lives.

It can also leave us vulnerable to entity attachments due to vacating our vessels.

When we’re addicted to something, we no longer own ourselves. We become slaves to the thing.

Just some things to think about as we navigate these rapidly changing times-

Signing off 🙏
