Chainbreaker

A powerful song came to me a few days ago – along with a few thoughts – so I thought I’d share πŸ™Œ

It’s called “Chainbreaker” by Zack Williams, and you can find it here:

Lately I’ve been thinking about how much influence we can actually have on others- particularly in healing spaces and intimate relationships.

I’ve learned the hard way (over and over again) that we can’t fight others’ battles for them; nor would I recommend getting caught in the crossfire of someone else’s inner war with themselves.

Sometimes I get so caught up in trying to free other people and remove their “chains” that I forget to tend to my own.

There is a very beautiful part of me that sees their potential and wants so badly for them to step into it, but that is the same part that can keep me chained to them and attached to a certain outcome for their healing and growth.

I’m being reminded today that coming out of agreement with something (thought patterns, beliefs, addictions, etc) is deeply personal and that without at least having the willingness to do so, there’s very little that other people can do for us- or that we can do for them.

So, once again I’m choosing to withdraw all my projections, free everyone up from being anything but what and who they are in this moment, and release any attachments to outcomes.

I’m extending this grace and compassion to myself as well, and letting myself “off the hook” for knowing or doing anything at all, really.

I trust that I will be guided and shown the way at the exact right time, but also that I will be just fine until then.

One day at a time πŸ™πŸ˜‰
